Lenox Township police reported a 38 year old woman from New heaven smashed hard into another man's vehicle killing him on the spot. The female apparently was driving erratically before the collision, and alcohol might be the factor around this accident.

Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said "the woman was driving a Dodge Journey eastbound on 26 Mile Road when she crossed into the westbound lanes and crashed head on into a Hyundai sedan.'' Also, he indicated that witness approved on the woman that she was speeding and swerving moments before the collision. Moreover, the detective pointed out that alcohol could be the reason behind this careless driving, as he was waiting for the blood test results from both the hospital and the medical examiner’s office to make a conclusion regarding the reason for the crash.

According to CBS Detroit, the injured female was "initially trapped" until help arrived.  Fire crews had to help her escape from the seriously damaged car. Reports indicate that the woman suffered injuries, but is in stable condition after visiting a local hospital.
